2022 ASH Abstract from the Burkitt Lymphoma Genome Sequencing Project
The abstract entitled DNA Methylation-Based Burkitt Lymphoma Epitypes Have Distinct Molecular and Clinical Features was published in Blood November 2022, 140(Supplement 1): 1734-1736. As stated by the lead author, Nicole Thomas, PhD candidate, Simon Fraser University, the objective was to "identify consistent DNA methylation changes and their interplay between Burkitt Lymphoma parthenogenesis and other features such as EBV status and somatic mutations. The findings demonstrate a subset of BL patients with distinct epigenetic, molecular and clinical features, and elucidates mechanisms underlying Burkitt Lymphoma pathogenesis.
